Services

Beacon: Faith and Family offers counseling services for those willing to travel into the dark areas of life.  We all have the struggles: hard times, worry, sadness.  Sometimes the darkness is triggered by an outside event or from something within. In the Bible, John 1:5 tells us that, "the light shines in the darkness and the darkness has not overcome it."  This light is referring to Jesus, and God's word is clear, there is darkness in the world, but as Jesus himself said later in John 16:33, " I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”.  It is my passion and desire to come along side you and bring us alongside Jesus, inviting Him in to whatever you may be dealing with.

Beacon offers a "fee for service" Christian counseling sessions for individuals, couples or families. I am associated with Light Up the Dark and a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. Educationally I have my masters in Clinical Psychology and my certification in Biblical Counseling.

This is ministry associated and not a state licensed counseling practice, so let me share some things I can and cannot provide:

This IS a place where you can share where you are struggling and I will join you with compassion, caring and many years of training and experience helping people in a variety of settings.

This is NOT a mental health practice that can provide you with a psychological evaluation or mental health diagnosis or mandatory court ordered counseling (unless it allows for pastoral/ Christian counseling).

This IS a place with a reasonable fee (like a copay), monthly rates and an opportunity for sponsorships.

This is NOT a place where your insurance or Medicaid/ Medicare can be utilized.

This IS a place where I will pray with you and for you, share Biblical truth with you and help you sort out where your faith and your struggles collide/connect.

This is NOT a place where I will judge you in your struggles.  My motto is, "check the judgment/shame at the door". I cannot help if we do not talk about what is really going on.

I am sure there are other questions to be answered, but for now this is a good start.  Please message me with any questions you might have and I will be happy to answer.
